SRV Math Tournament

Individual Event
  • Participants​ check in: 2:00 PM
    ​​(Come 15 minutes early)
  • Individual Round: 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM
    (Closed doors - parents are not allowed inside the Commons, but stay on the school campus)
  • Explanation of the math problems: 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM
    (Commons doors open, but parents are not allowed inside)
  • Tie Breaker Round: 3:30 PM to 4:00PM
    (Open to everyone)
  • Award Ceremony: 4:00 PM
    (Open to everyone)

For students in grades 4 and 5 in SRVUSD
For practice, three complete sets of previous years’ tournament tests, which includes problems and solutions, will be emailed to all participants after registration and payment, in 1-2 days.​

Frequently Asked Questions

After the test, we will give a copy of the problems and explain solutions to all participants.

​For practice, two complete sets of previous years’ tournament tests, which includes problems ​and solutions, will be emailed to all participants after registration and payment, in 1-2 days. Those who register early will have more time to practice on the different math problems. Math is all about learning creative ways to solve problems. The more children practice, the better they will perform. Sample problems and solutions

Q: Are calculators allowed?
A: No. Calculators are not allowed on any portion of the test.

Q: What topics may appear on the tests? How hard are the tests?
A: After registration, we will send you the two preview tournament tests which includes problems and their solutions.

Q: What should we bring?
A: You will need to bring pencils and scratch paper.
​* No new photos from the last few years have been uploaded due to unavailability of a complete set of photo consent forms.
